After years installing failing product from unreliable brands, we'd had enough. So we built the film we always wished existed.

We didn't set out to build a paint protection film brand. We set out to stop wasting our own time.

As installers, we watched film after film let us down — and let our customers down with it. Film that yellowed within a couple of years instead of the decade it was sold on. Adhesive that failed to bond properly, lifting at the edges within months. Or worse, adhesive so aggressive it pulled paint straight off the panel on removal. We chased warranty claims that manufacturers quietly walked away from, left to explain to customers why the product we installed wasn't holding up — and why the company behind it wasn't picking up the phone.

Every one of those failures came out of our own bays, on our own jobs. So we stopped trusting the brands and started building the film ourselves.

How Novex Was Built

We didn't chase a spec sheet. We chased a film that could survive what we actually put it through every day.

Years of that cycle — install, test, fail, refine — is what got us to a film that finally does what it says it does. Self-healing TPU that shrugs off swirl marks with a bit of heat. Ceramic-infused for a finish that stays easy to maintain instead of demanding constant babying. No yellowing, no cracking, backed by a warranty we actually stand behind — because we know exactly what it takes to earn that.

Every formula went back into real installs — on our own cars, on customer vehicles, in Australian conditions that don't forgive a weak product. Baking summer heat that turns a bonnet into a hot plate. UV that never lets up. Dust, road grit, and the kind of stone chip exposure that separates a good film from a marketing claim. If it couldn't hold up on our own bay floor, it didn't go any further.
